BOWIE, MD —The Bowie Police Department said two vehicles were stolen recently. One was nabbed from the parking lot of the Bowie Walmart between Dec. 24, 2020 and Dec. 29, 2020, an incident report noted. That vehicle has not yet been found, the write-up added.
Officers reported that the second auto theft happened Tuesday on Doveheart Lane. That vehicle has since been located.
The department arrested three people in recent weeks on charges of driving under the influence, the report said. The first came on Dec. 25, 2020 at the intersection of Collington Road and Holiday Lane. The second was on Saturday at the corner of Mitchellville Road and Northview Drive. The final DUI arrest came Monday at Spangler Lane and Skylark Lane.
Police also wrote that they arrested an armed robbery suspect on Governors Bridge Road on Dec. 28, 2020. Officers reported an arrest related to breaking and entering on Lone Ridge Lane on Dec. 25, 2020. Trespassing on Northview Drive also led to an arrest the same day, the department said.
Bowie police added that a weapons violation led to a final arrest on Monday. That incident happened on Elder Oaks Boulevard.
