Judging Contest hosted by the University of Florida and The University of Georgia. The Contest will feature 20 classes of hogs, cattle, sheep and goats. The Southeastern Three Thursday; 12-8-22 Location: Georgia National Fairgrounds 5:00pm-8:00pm Early Registration Friday; 12-9-22 Location: Georgia National Fairgrounds 7:00-8:00am Registration 8:00-9:00 Welcome and Break into groups 9:00 – 10:30 Swine Judging Portion 10:30-11:00 Livestock Rotation 11:00 – 12:30 Sheep and Goats Judging Portion 12:30 - 2:00 Break for Lunch (Lunch is not provided) 2:00 – 4:00 Cattle Judging Portion 6:30 Awards and Wrap-up General Rules: 1. The contest will consist of three portions a. Swine: 5-6 classes b. Sheep and Goats: 6-8 classes c. Cattle: 6-8 classes 2. All decisions of the Southeastern Three contest will be considered final 3. The Southeastern Three officials reserve the right to make changes deemed to be in the best interest of the contest. 4. The Southeastern Three committee, the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, nor the Georgia National Fairgrounds will be responsible for any accidents or injuries at the contest. 5. The Southeastern Three committee, the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, nor the Georgia National Fairgrounds will be responsible for any lost or stolen personal items or damages to property. 6. Official dress is not required. Age Divisions 1. The Southeastern Three is open to anyone up to the age of 19 (as of 9/1/22), from any state. a. Junior: Middle School and younger (8th grade and younger) b. Senior: High School students (9th-12th grade) that are younger than 19 as of September 1st of the current year. 2. The Southeastern Three committee will allow students to in the Junior Division to judge in the Senior Division if they wish. 3. There is no bottom age for the Southeastern Three contest; however, contestants must be able to go through the contest themselves. Awards Divisions 1. Awards will be presented in the following categories in both the Junior and Senior Division: a. Cattle b. Swine c. Sheep and Goats d. Overall
