The Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue is looking for foster homes for cats and dogs. A foster home cares for a pet temporarily, while we find rescue placement. Most often you'd have the pet between a few days to a month. We need foster homes that will allow the foster animals inside, and will keep them safe. They will need to be on a leash or tether or in a fenced in yard, to go outside. They cannot run loose. LTAR will provide food and supplies. We may ask you to bring your foster pet to the veterinarian, but we'll cover the costs. LTAR does not do adoptions. We're too small of a group to also facilitate adoptions. We transport our animals to rescue partners, mostly in the Twin Cities, for rehoming. If you were interested in adopting your foster pet, you'd need to work through one of our rescue partners, fill out their adoption application and pay their fee.
