Hand-raised, Baby Budgie! I am hand-raising this beautiful baby budgie right now. This is an American budgie that I think it is a male (it is hard to know for certain at this age). However, I cannot guarantee his gender 100%. When I say that he is hand-raised what I mean is that I am regularly handling him so that he will be friendly, familiar with humans and make a good pet/companion for someone. Here is a more detailed description of what I mean by a "hand-raised budgie": I hold the budgies daily starting 2 weeks after they hatch. Then, once they are about 5 1/2 - 6 weeks old, I move them to their own cage so that I can make sure they are completely independent of their parents and ready for a new home. During that stage I continue to train the little budgies by feeding them spray millet out of my hand, getting them to "step up" on my finger and having them ride around on my shoulder. This little cutie will be ready for his new home around December 7 possibly a few days later (each budgie is different). Between 6-8 is the ideal age for a baby budgie to come to it's new home and start bonding with "it's person". I am asking for a rehoming fee of $90 for this baby budgie.
