This handsome boy desperately needs a place to call home. We took him in, when his owner left him behind after their move, to prevent him from going to the shelter. As much as we love this guy we simply can not keep him because he does not get along with cats-- he wants to eat them. He has a high prey drive and unfortunately has killed chickens and rabbits at his previous home. Before coming to live with us he was an outside dog, but he has been learning how to behave inside for several hours at a time; he has slept in the laundry room on the recent cold nights without incident. He is sweet, loving, wants to please, and has been enjoying learning basic obedience. He loves everyone he meets and deems it their duty to give him all of the scritches and belly rubs, couch snuggles in the blankets watching TV is another favorite activity. He is the perfect hiking and/or running partner. I do not know if he has any experience with young children. He gets along great with dogs at the dog park and friend's dogs that come over. He is current on vaccines, neutered, will be 2 years old on 11/26, and does need to have a sensitive stomach diet. We are happy to deliver to him if you are not in the area. Rehoming fee ($150) to inhibit the weirdos looking for a free dog to torment.
