Description
POINT PLEASANT BORO – A Point Pleasant Boro school has switched to all-remote because of COVID-19 cases.
Superintendent Vincent Smith said members of the Ocean Road Elementary School community have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Central Office Administration, in consultation with the Ocean County Health Department, has decided to put a pause on in-person learning at Ocean Road and will transition to full-time Remote Learning effective Friday, Smith said.
The remote learning will continue for two weeks, through Jan. 21, "to ensure the safety of our school community."
Students will follow the current class schedule from 8:10 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. with small group afternoon meetings scheduled as usual.
Nellie Bennett Elementary School, Memorial Middle School and Point Pleasant High School will continue with their current in-person instruction schedule.
Any parent of an Ocean Road Elementary School student with children in other district schools who has additional questions or concerns should reach out to your child's school nurse.
