This one hour, in-person training will teach individuals how to recognize signs of opioid overdose and respond to the situation, including administering the life-saving medication Naloxone. Naloxone (brand name Narcan) reverses the effects of an opioid overdose and all attendees will leave equipped with an overdose kit that contains nasal Naloxone.
Are you passionate about spreading awareness regarding opioid overdoses and increasing access to naloxone (Narcan)? Foundation for Recovery’s new initiative allows us to equip Community Overdose Prevention Ambassadors with all the tools they need to take this training out into their own communities! Interested participants will be trained on how to provide this presentation and given the opportunity to earn money for all the people they train.
