Join us for a hands on workshop to learn all about broom corn, the local history of broom-making, and how to make your own hand-held whisk broom!
Historian and craftsperson Faith Deering will share about the rich history of broom-making in western Massachusetts, and guide participants to make their own round whisk brooms to take home at the end of the day.
Registration required. This is an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL workshop. Prior crafts-making experience is necessary. Space is limited to 8 participants. Masks required.
We hope to offer this workshop again in the future.
The base price for tickets is $35 per workshop.
We encourage BIPOC participants, those experiencing economic hardship, and those from systemically marginalized communities to opt for a fee that works for you.
And we encourage those who wish to help GFN increase our support for low income and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) gardeners to pay more than the base fee. Please opt for a fee that works for you and that fairly represents your ability to support our work.
If you want to pay $0, please email [email protected] and we will register you.
