Jack Deere is an accomplished author, international speaker, and former associate professor of Old Testament at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books that have been released in the past couple years including one just published several months ago, “Why I Am Still Surprised By The Voice Of God.” Campus House welcomes Jack Deere for a special weekend conference to help us all grow in our understanding of the Holy Spirit. Jack's books, robust knowledge of bilbical languages, and grounded theological understanding qualify him as a strong scholar. His academic mind combined with his experiences traveling the world in ministry settings where healing and other demonstrations of the gifts of the Spirit were a regular occurence make him a trusted tecaher to now help us grow in our understanding of the work of the Holy Spirit for today. His engaging stories may make us laugh or cry, but if we take to heart and apply the strategies he shares, we will grow in our co-operation with the Holy Spirit. Friday, Dec 2 - First Session - Doors Open - 6:00 pm Saturday, Dec 3 - Morning Session - 10:00 am Saturday, Dec 3 - Afternoon Session - 1:00 pm Session 1 - Friday Night - 6:30 - Srories by Jack Deere. His Conversion, and then conversion to a continuationist position, and discussion of the supernatural role of the Holy Spirit. This service will open with worship and close with a time of prayer. Session 2 - Saturday 10 am - Jack will teach on recognizing when the Lord speaks, guidance on healing, and how to grow in other Spiritual gifts as well. Noon - Lunch on your own. Session 3 - Saturday 1 pm - Equipping Pastors & Leaders. Based on Biblical principles and ministry experience, Jack will discuss how to lead a congregation or group through training and exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This session will include time for Q&A.
