Welcome to the first of our winter series of workshops! We'll be starting off our season with preparation and discussion around wildcrafted elderberry oxymels.
Elderberries are a phenomenal immune tonic and an oxymel--an herbal honey-apple cider vinegar infusion--makes for both a delicious and potent way to take your medicine!
We'll go over all the steps to concocting an oxymel, cover the herbal actions of the herbs we have available, and how to incorporate oxymels into your winter self-care rituals. We'll be exploring some of the rich lore around the elder tree and holding space for folks to be still, gather their intentions for medicine making, and intuitively hold space for any teachings that arise from the plant herself.
Everyone will go home with a pint of oxymel for themselves or to share with friends and family!
Doors at 5:45pm. Class at 6pm. Space is capped at 12 people.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Sydney and Cathryn are both passionate and longtime gatherers of wild food and medicine. They have also served on the Board of Directors for the Western Montana Mycological Association for the last four years, planning events, teaching a wide variety of mushroom classes and keeping the fungal community engaged and connected. They both have experience in herbal medicine and agriculture (they will teach you about all the wonderful “weeds” around town), and a deep love of this land and all the plants living in their midst. They are humbled and delighted to be two of many on a long strand of plant-loving humans sharing their experience and knowledge with others.
