Kemba Smith Pradia, our keynote speaker is an author; criminal justice reform advocate; featured on BET's HER; and executive producer of "Kemba" an upcoming movie based on her life story. Her book, Poster Child details her life story and is empowering with overwhelming intersectional related circumstances that could be the story for so many of us. She is a survival and was afforded the opportunity for a second chance at life successes when President Bill Clinton pardoned her 24-year federal prison sentence. Her book signing is at 5:00 P.M.
Guest speakers include Kandis Backus, Kandis V. Backus, Medical Scientist, Gilead Sciences, Inc. Melverta Bender, Director, Office of STD/HIV; Rymsky Evans, It’s Time Coordinator, CARE4ME Services with performance by Patricia Smith.
