Hike with StartOut LA & Out in Tech LA at Griffith Park

Join your fellow LA StartOut and Out in Tech members for a hike at Griffith Park. It'll be a great way to casually and informally meet other members in the LA area. The hike will be approximately two hours and could be considered a moderate hike as we will hike up to the helipad on one of the ridges of the park. It'll have amazing city views of the observatory, downtown, and the rest of the LA basin. The hike will be lead by Michael Fritzen, who has been leading weekly Thursday night Griffith hikes for over 15 years. Special thanks to him for leading this hike. We'll meet at the Ranger Station & Griffith Park Visitor Center Auditorium (4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027) at 10:30am on Saturday, December 3, 2022 and will depart at 10:40am. Look for the flag pole in the middle of the courtyard of the visitor center. There should be plenty of parking around the visitor center. Note: Please bring adequate water, appropriate shoes to hike with, and remember to wear sunblock. Dogs are not permitted on this hike. STARTOUT COVID-19 POLICY:Attendees must provide proof of full vaccination in order to attend an in-person event. Proof of vaccination must be presented by showing your vaccination card in physical form or as a photo on your phone. “Fully vaccinated” means the event date you are attending must be: at least 14 days after your second dose of an FDA or WHO authorized two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, orat least 14 days after your single dose of an FDA or WHO authorized single dose COVID-19 vaccine.People with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test in one of the following ways to see a event: negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event, ornegative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the event.Attendees may present proof of vaccination or a negative test on paper or a smartphone. Attendees who do not comply with these protocols will be denied entry or asked to leave.
