WHAT TO EXPECT:
Kid Volunteers will participate in a variety of gardening give back service activities at Watershed Management Group's Living Lab, including pruning, mulching, litter pick up + harvesting native edible plants.
Additionally, families can set intentions for 2023 by discussing how to carry what they learn back to their homes, schools + communities.
WHY IS THIS WORK IMPORTANT:
This hands-on volunteer work will benefit the Watershed Management Group (WMG).
WMG develops community-based water harvesting solutions to ensure the long-term prosperity of people + health of our environment. They work to provide our community with the knowledge, skills + resources for sustainable livelihoods and ensure a regenerative desert.
KIND NOTES:
This event takes place between 9-10am. However, families are welcome to stay at WMG throughout the morning for additional activities, including song + story time (between 10-11am) + continued work service stations (11-12pm).
Please bring your own refillable water bottle to have with you.
Stay tuned for additional details to help you prepare for the day!
