MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN THE BREED!! 1 year old female cane corso we unfortunately have to rehome. The good, 1) she is house trained 2) she is crate trained 3) she has been around kids and is great with them 4) she loves attention and to snuggle 6) she knows basic commands. Sit, stay, down, bed, in, out, here Area she needs work! 1)Socializing ( she has had very little) 2)shy/timid of anything she’s unfamiliar with Athena is a wonderful dog with great potential. She is great with children although I’d recommend kids over 8 as she tends to forget how large she is. She is very playful she gets along with dogs that she knows however strange dogs can go either way. She is timid of men till she gets to know them. We have had Athena for a year we also have an elder rottie who as hard as we have tried is not getting along with Athena. our rottie is old and Athena just has too much energy. The perfect family would have experience with cane corso or at least mastiff breeds, large yard, vet references, as well as personal references. Must be willing to meet with her several times before actually taking her home as she has not had a lot of socialization and will need someone willing to work on that, someone with lots of time to spend with her, she don’t like to be left alone and will chew if not in a kennel. Athena has lots of potential to be a great companion she’s smart energetic and just loves attention.
