Warehouse Associate/Material Handler

Description

Our client, a manufacturer of plumbing equipment located near Chicago's loop, seeks a material handler/warehouse associate. Roles & Responsibilities: Print pick lists and packing slips from Shipping Manager work screen of orders available for shipment. Process goods for shipping via ground services (i.e. UPS Ground, FedEx Ground) utilizing shipping computer system and software. Process goods for shipping via LTL truck services (i.e. UPS Freight, USF Holland). Perform routine maintenance and recharging of material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pickers, etc) as directed by supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years' experience in a manufacturing, distribution or warehouse environment. Ability to safely operate forklift or stock picker. Forklift certification required. Ability to prioritize workload in order to facilitate on time shipment of ready goods. Ability to meet physical requirements of position, as follows: Work is performed standing and extensive walking.
