I am a drummer, in my 60s, looking to join or form a band local to the Anderson County area. I’m basically a music lover and am open to play anything from the 60s up to present as long as it is interesting. Blues, Rock, Jazz, traditional Country, and Christian Contemporary. Ideally, I would like a mixture of covers and original music with some experimentation thrown in. I would like to craft some songs and play out in select venues. I prefer gigs where people that want to listen and enjoy the music can do so safely. My influences are Beatles, Stones, Wishbone Ash, Grand Funk, Cream, early Genesis, Yes, early REM, Dixie Dregs, U2, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Third Day … I have my own gear and just finished construction on a home/studio in Belton. The studio was designed for band rehearsal and recording. I look forward to hearing from individual musicians or an existing band. I place a high value on production. I believe what makes a band stand out is their attention to detail. You should commit to how each track is played and play it consistently. Not that open and spontaneous jams can never happen, but the majority of the performance needs to be structured. If you just want to play what every other band plays, you should probably look elsewhere.
