Brilliant Solutions LLC. provides Laundry and Housekeeping staffing for a large hospital located in Des Moines and West Des Moines. We have full-time opportunities in the Laundry Department, working from 5:30AM to 2:00PM. Position is scheduled full time, 80 hours within a two week pay period. Position requires you to work every other weekend, with every other weekend off. When you work on a Saturday or Sunday, your pay rate is $17.00 per hour. If you choose to work overtime, you will be paid $25.50 per hour, for every hour over 80 hours within the two week pay period. As a laundry associate you will sort clean laundry onto linen carts. You will deliver loaded carts to the needed areas within the hospital. Soiled linen carts are taken back to the laundry department, for pick up by the laundry vendor that does all washing and folding. You will learn and follow hospital guidelines and procedures. We will provide you with training, uniforms, and all the tools and equipment needed to be successful in your new position. Pre-Employment hospital requirements: • Must have a hospital acceptable, criminal record. • Must have had Covid 19 vaccination and flu shot. • Must be tested for Tuberculosis and be negative, (we pay for the testing). • Must have had all childhood vaccinations. Qualifications: • Reliable, with a strong work ethic, good attendance is very important • Able to read, comprehend and communicate in English • Able to stoop, bend, kneel, push/pull and stand on your feet throughout your shift • Able to lift trash and linen bags up to or over 50 pounds, lift 20 pounds consistently, maneuver heavy wheeled carts • Must be at least 18 years old and be authorized to work in the U.S. Benefits: • Hourly wage, $16.00/hr. M-F, $17.00/hr.
