Your family is invited to celebrate the arrival of a new season at our Winter Wonderland Family Day PLUS Children's Art Workshop! Children will create wintery snowflake art mobiles in the Mayan Courtyard on our beautiful and historic campus, using the colors of winter, treasures from nature and hand-printed monoprint snowflakes! Our monoprint snowflakes are inspired by A & H’s founder, Jules Andre’ Smith - a master printmaker who loved experimenting with art! Children will discover that monoprints are the simplest form of printmaking. And just like there are never two snowflakes that are exactly alike, the same can be said with monoprints since each printed snowflake is a one-of-a-kind piece of art! Mobiles will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop to display at your holiday celebrations (please note supplies are limited for the snowflake mobiles). After the workshop, we’ll have snowflake face painting, a scavenger hunt AND FREE museum admission too! So, take a break from shoveling sunshine, and get a little creative and wintery with us!
