While the funding is for qualified Virginia Licensed Child Care providers, this workshop is open to those who may also be considering starting a day care program. The Virginia Small Business Financing Authority in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Social Services and the Virginia Department of Education is pleased to introduce The Child Care Financing Program. This program provides low interest loans at 0% financing rate for LICENSED DAY CARE PROVIDERS. It DOES NOT matter how long you’ve been in business, even start-ups may be eligible for this fantastic opportunity! The money can be used to purchase items and the completion of improvements directly related to the health and safety of the children, modifications needed to serve children with special needs, as well as adding to the overall learning environment. Child Care Centers as well as Family Day Home facilities are eligible for this program. • Child Care Centers may borrow up to $150,000 with repayment terms up to 7 years. • Family Day Homes may borrow up to $10,000 with repayment terms up to 7 years.
