The Holidays Are ComingHermosa Beach has mashed together their Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting Ceremony and added a bunch of family-fun activities to make the newly expanded annual Hermosa for the Holidays. Get ready - the weekend of November 19th to 21st will be an open-air winter wonderland at the beach to: Shop for eclectic gifts from local artisans and retailers for everyone on your shopping listEat & Drink at all of the great local food and beverage spotsRide carnival rides and inflatables at Pier PlazaSing at the community concert and tree lighting ceremonyAND so much more entertainment and activities for the whole familyMore Info on the WorkshopsSATURDAY, NOV 19Ugly Sweater Decorating Party presented by Cultured Slice (10am) Bring any old plain sweater or t-shirt (or anything really) and we’ll provide all the supplies for you to make an EPIC ugly holiday sweater! Hosted by your local Cheese Monger who may or may not bring some goodies. HIIT Workout at the Beach presented by Jessica Ahoni (11am) 45 min body weight workout. No equipment required. Attendees should bring water and a mat or towel. The workout will be modifiable to all levels. Workout will be located on the beach, meetup at 16th St. & The Strand Terrariums for Everyone presented by Practical Magic (12pm) What’s better than a homemade gift? A homemade gift that supports local small businesses! These adorable terrariums will include succulents, pebbles, and moss so you can get creative! We will provide everything you need to make the perfect gift. Workshop located at Practical Magic (937 Hermosa Ave) Cookie Decorating Workshop presented by Mychal's Learning Place (1pm) Join instructor from Mychals Learning Place lead everyone in a fun demonstration of how to decorate your tree and gingerbread cookies.  Each participant will receive their own cookie decorating materials including cookies, icing, and decorations.  All materials provided are created by the students and student-employees at Mychal's Learning Place. SUNDAY, NOV 20Decorate an Ornament Workshop by Undisputed Fight Academy (10am) Have so much fun creating special decorations for the holidays! The class will create something special to keep or gift to a loved one. All supplies will be provided. Holiday Cookie Decorating by Sugar Dayne (11am & 12pm) Come decorate with your local cookie lady, Katy from Sugar Dayne Cookies. We’ll decorate two cookies with festive frosting and shimmery holiday sprinkles. Cocktail Making Class presented by Patrick Molloy's (2pm) Craft your own cocktails with instructions, tips, and stories along the way by Award winning mixologist & Beverage Director, Kevin Jones. Afterwards complimentary champagne & snacks will be provided. Class will take place on the outdoor patio of Patrick Molloy's (50 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254).
