The Yard Worker position is responsible for maintaining the organization and appearance of equipment inventory in the yard, expediting its readiness for rent and assisting drivers and customers with loading and unloading of equipment. This is a union position after successfully passing a 90-day probationary period. For a timely response, please apply online by visiting the careers page on our website: www.ableequipment.com Responsibilities: Perform equipment rental return check in; pressure wash equipment, refuel, check for damage Pick up parts from various vendors Assist drivers in loading/unloading equipment Keep yard/shop clean, organized at all times Assist mechanics as needed SKILLS: Prior construction equipment yard experience a plus. Reliable, punctual Good communicator Ability to accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness Physical Requirements: Lift/carry up to 50 lbs Neck rotation, trunk rotation, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling. Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor in all weather conditions. Noise level may be loud at times.
