WE CREID OUT about NOT having the Voice and Impact we want within our Own Community! So what was done? Neighborhood Association Presidents(Billy Joy Thomas and Randy Vanderweit ) Lead Community Organizer and Liaison Marria McIntosh, listened to our community voices on feelings in terms of Gentrification, Housing and Economic Development. Together with Community and delegate support of our Ward Commissioner/Vice Mayor Willie German Jr. formed Coalition: 3N1C (3 Neighborhoods 1 Community now Community Engagement Department of Thredz) on behalf of our underserved Black and Brown neighborhoods of Jackson Hill, McLaughlin, and Angell. Our Initial Goals were clear: Determine: How we can "Fight the Negative Effects of Gentrification?" How to "Strengthening Ourselves from Within?" What True Investment for US looks like within our own Community?Who was going to help us figure this out?NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY (BOSTON, MA) RESPONDED TO OUR NEED! They Came... They Researched...
