Core Values: Honesty/Integrity; Compassion; Quality; Diligence Retail •Greets and assists customers in a welcoming manner with purchases, offering suggestions and information. Processes cash, check, and charge transactions. •Assists customers in choosing potted and bare root roses, perennials, trees and shrubs, fountains, containers, soil and amendments, fertilizers, pest control and Garden Shop gift items. •Assists with processing inventory and pricing. Understands inventory and helps to maintain an accurate inventory. •Assists with restocking inventory and checking on availability of items. •Participates in sales promotions. •Helps maintain clean attractive sales area and clean organized stockrooms. •Helps to care for live plant material. •Assists customers with phone orders and processes paperwork through proper channels. Places orders using POS system. •Assists customers with rose questions by phone and Internet. •Assists Route Personnel with rose orders. •Contributes articles and ideas for newsletters, seasonal displays and other promotional tools. •Participates in Garden Shop staff meetings for information regarding sales, new inventory, seasonal promotions and resolution of challenges. •Able and willing to cross-train in order to assist in other departments as needed. •Represents WRC in a friendly and professional manner. Gains knowledge of all products and services that the company offers and is able to recommend them. Merchandising •Suggests new merchandising techniques to Director of Rose Sales for new inventory & back stock. •In charge of setting up displays and merchandising, rotating merchandise often. •Ensures that all merchandise is presented in a way that is consistent with the premium shopping experience that Witherspoon Rose Culture desires to display. •Ensures that the retail area and displays are neat and tidy. Suggests major repair items to Director of Rose Sales. •Suggests necessary additions, repairs, and replacements for display items such as benches, lathe houses, and paths. •Prepares signage for products and departments as needed. Pay: $12.00 per hour Supplemental Pay: Bonus pay – Profit Sharing Signing bonus
