Hey folks my band and I are currently Seeking and auditioning for a keys player. We are in established band in the Baltimore area, and have a very busy 2023 ahead. We are looking for somebody who has the drive and ability to learn our set list, practice at home, and come to rehearsal prepared. All music materials will be provided for the remote learning of songs. We have rehearsal once a week in Essex. Once the new member is up to speed and we start getting more busy gigging in the warmer months, that will be a little more relaxed. But for now we’re looking for somebody who Can learn quickly and get up to speed on all of our songs by mid January. So weekly practice is mandatory, except for when it’s on or within a day of a holiday. It is a mix of originals and covers depending on what the gig is requiring. The band is releasing its third original album this upcoming year and Will be playing a handful of gigs that are primarily to promote that. Outside of that, We will have gigs that often require a good amount of cover songs. All gigs are guaranteed paying gigs. You’ll have to be willing to travel up to about an hour radius From Baltimore. Maybe a little more, so like A radius of up Wilmington DE, up to Philly & Harrisburg PA, Then out to Frederick MD, down to Washington DC, Annapolis,MD. Carpooling options for road gigs will always be available. Keys players that can also sing are preferred. Be aware that this is not a background position in the band. A handful of the songs are piano driven songs And will require a piano player That plays confidently, And has put in the time to learn them. The core group of the band is made up of four members, And so everybody stays equally busy in the arrangements. Must be able to solo and improv comfortably. Having a background in blues jazz soul R&B Gospel Folkrock Americana Southern rock  and related genres will fit in just nicely. Classically trained pianist are also welcome, But must another way around a Blues scale. Also if you happen to be a songwriter or solo artist yourself this could be a very Fruitful opportunity To get some exposure and opportunities to play your original material. Men and women are both welcome to audition. Age shouldn’t matter and it doesn’t matter to us, But in our experience, those between the ages of 25 and 50 seem to be on the same page with level of commitment, And just overall vibe and energy. And yet most of the best blues players Are often over 50. So age doesn’t matter To us unless it matters to you! Contact by email for more details serious inquiries only.
