Our client is a growing Property Management company based in MI seeking a hands-on, and reliable team member to work alongside 2 other maintenance technicians performing maintenance duties on apartment units throughout Lansing, MI. The Maintenance Technician must be available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5:00 pm and occasionally available for after-hours duties. The individual will be responsible for the completion of maintenance requests ensuring that tenants receive excellent customer service and that the properties are properly maintained. Duties will include but are not limited to the following: Maintenance Complete maintenance requests as assigned within individual units as well as within common areas. Perform basic maintenance duties including drywall patching, minor painting, plumbing (leaks and backups), electrical (light fixture repairs/replacements, switches) Submit a daily recap of work that was completed for the day Meet with the supervisor on a weekly basis to discuss any issues, challenges, or achievements for the week. Individuals must possess the following skills: Ability to work with a team Ability to solve problems Attention to detail Punctual Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in multifamily, apartment, or residential maintenance Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a criminal background screen Live in Lansing or the surrounding area. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour Benefits offered
