Press release from the Village of Western Springs: As a result of decreased ridership due to COVID-19, Metra is making changes to the days and hours of service at the Western Springs ticket agent office. Effective January 13, the office will be staffed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 5:25 am to 12:45 pm. It will be closed Thursday and Friday. Riders are encouraged to purchase tickets through the Ventra mobile app. Metra has indicated this decision will be re-evaluated once the pandemic abates and ridership increases.
