At the November session, Dr. Ford will help participants understand the audit process and identify whether their nonprofit requires or voluntarily desires an audit.
At the November session, we will discuss the following:
State and federal laws concerning nonprofit audit requirements, necessary preparations for an audit, and actions to take post-audit. How and when a nonprofit might conduct an audit, even when the law does not require it.The myth that audits discover fraud and how nonprofits should instead focus on more effective ways to uncover fraud and incorporate effective internal controls within an organization.
