Soulful Drummer wanted for Soul Band

I'm an electric bass player looking to work with an in-the-pocket drummer to form the "nerve center of a great rhythm-and-blues band." (If you know the reference, you're in!) Think Booker T. and the MG's or the Motown Sound, with occasional excursions into hard bop (e.g. "The Sidewinder") and beyond. I'm very fortunate to be collaborating with a local, well-established pianist (formerly with Pharoah Sanders), so my hope is that you're motivated to practice weekly and develop a tight rhythmic backdrop for a Booker T. and the MGs style group. A collaborative approach, attention to detail, and love of the music are all musts!
