🏠 STUCCO CONTRACTORS! 🏠 - 1200 sqft ADU ready for lathe!
Jobs
1717 96th Avenue, Oakland CA
Description
Despite the construction world suddenly shutting down, we are still pushing our project forward! We are framing passed, we are roofing finished, we are gas-passed, we are 80% done with electrical, and for you, we've completed most of the first layer of Tyvek Homewrap and we're ready for you to move in with a second weather barrier (Tyvek Stuccowrap is what we want to use) and the lathe to go over it! We're running this as fixed-firm. And we prefer the licensed, bonded, insured folks, but I will entertain talented folks doing side work. We have had some incredible people join our work over the last year and many of them were just working on weekends with us. Check out the photos and check out the plans (). Here are the critical details I can offer quickly: 1. We have put down an entire layer of Tyvek Homewrap. 2. We have a small amount of additional Tyvek Taping to do on the homewrap. 3. We need to flash and tape up our Gable vents. 4. We have already put in the drip screens around the entire perimeter of the house. :) 5. We want you to deploy Tyvek Stuccowrap (we have 2000 sqft of this ready for action -- 5 feet x 200 foot roles.) Check it out: -- and I know this is not what everyone loves -- we see Super Jumbo Tex 60 everywhere, but we want to be different. If you truly believe this is a bad decision, explain why! 6. We want you to apply the lathe and guarantee our walls our waterproof! The first phase of this project will depend on you passing the city inspection of this. And your good work here will protect us for years to come! 7. You wait. Lots of work is ongoing. We're going to need to complete rough-in work. HVAC installs. We'll have our drywall guys perfecting the framing to get ready for their next steps. And lots of other stuff. 8. Second phase begins. We want to match the look of the house in the front. The quality of the stucco work on that house is, honestly, shitty. We want a middle-of-the-road level of smooth quality with light aggregate visible. We're not looking for the santa barbara finish, but we also don't want to feel like this was slapped on with a single trowel by accident. 10. You'll still be doing a standard three coat job. 11. We'll look for your advice on how to effectively stucco our eaves, and under our porch, and around the very samll 4x4 posts for our porch. You are our most important point of beauty, we'll rely on your good advice. So, why are we looking for the licensed, insured, bonded types? This is a big deal. Stucco work will tell the world who we are. It'll cover up the imperfections from a year of work. And it's a profession I respect as an ART FORM. If this interests you, while this is up, you'll discover I'm taking bids to start ASAP!
