Climate change and flooding bring with them new challenges for Suisun to tackle, but also provide an opportunity for us to rally together in service of a collective goal. Join your neighbors for this in-person event at the Joseph Nelson Community Center to take part in the flood resiliency decisions in Suisun.
As part of the community forum, participants will have the opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor Pro Tem Alma Hernandez and the city regarding potential policies and actions that protect our city from flooding.
Tentative schedule:
11:00-11:15- Introduction and check-in
11:15-11:25- Presentation on flooding projections
11:25-11:35- Presentation on potential actions for the city
11:35-11:45- Presentation on an ongoing project by the Fairfield-Suisun Sewer District
11:45-12:30- Lunch (provided by Sustainable Solano)
