We are enrolling now in our educationally based Licensed Child Care in Whittier, Ca. 90604 (will also serve La Mirada, La Habra, and Norwalk areas) Provider has 28 years experience, a Masters in Child Development and a Program Director permit. Space is available for 2-5 year olds. Children will go to the OC Fair, attend several water trips to local splash pads, shallow pools, nature walks, the beach, and various parks. They will create 3-D art, conduct science experiments, experiment with measurements, distance, speed, and make predictions, participate in food experiences, attend a farmers market to try new fruits and vegetables, have outdoor picnics, and a glow in the dark dance party! Too much fun to list every trip but we have planned 2-3 activities per day. Please call for more information and a tour! Using the developmentally appropriate research based curriculum High/Scope that focuses on child initiated and teacher directed activities based on the individual needs of your child. During the regular school year, after school pick up is available for Whittier and La Mirada schools during the school year. Pick ups and homework help is available for currently for children from Scott Ave school, gardenhill, Granada, Los altos and Ceres schools. Assistant teachers help with the pick ups and works with the kids daily on homework and planned activities. The High Quality Educational program is Monday-Friday 7:50am-6:20 pm. The High quality education focuses on health, physical development, communication, math, science, literacy, art, dramatic play, language development and social emotional development. Yoga for children will help them to learn spatial awareness, self regulation, and improve fine and gross motor skills. Meals and snacks included. The overall goal is to prepare children for school readiness and future school success in a Warm Caring home-like environment that puts social and emotional development at the heart of the program.
