Description
Join us for an inspiring opportunity to call in the abundance and transition of the Autumn season while building community and supporting the Climate Science Alliance! With the backdrop of Mission Bay at sunset, we offer an Abundance Yoga Flow from Kla-Bada of Yogini K Bee Yoga, and a sound bath & meditation form Nazli Takesh of Wellness with Nazli, followed by a brief discussion about the connections between yoga philosophy and climate change from San Diego Yoga News' founder, Bridey Scully. This event is donation-based, benefitting the Climate Science Alliance, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to safeguard natural and human communities in the face of a changing climate. The Climate Science Alliance will have a booth at the event and will be able to answer questions about their work and climate change in our region. Stay for tea, snacks, and conversation. You'll leave feeling an abundance of connection, community, and practical tips to make a positive impact in our community! The yoga flow is all levels and will begin at 5:40pm, but please feel free to come when you can. All are welcome! Donations are encouraged but not required. You can donate through Eventbrite, or you are welcome to bring a cash donation to the event. We will not be able to accept credit cards or personal checks at the event. If you prefer to bring a cash donation to the event, please register on Eventbrite so we can know how many people to expect. There is free parking on site and access to restrooms. Please bring a yoga mat or towel to practice on, a water bottle, layers to stay comfy and warm, and any other supplies you may want to have (blocks, blanket, socks, etc.). We will ask you to complete a waiver at the event via a QR code. We are so excited and can't wait to see you on October 17th! please reach out to sandiegoyoganewsATgmail.com with any questions or concerns. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ More about the facilitators: San Diego Yoga News was created by Bridey Scully, in the height of the COVID19 pandemic to build community and uplift local yoga practitioners, creating inclusive access to all that the San Diego Yoga Community has to offer.
