Description
Tungsten is a 2-3yo german shepherd that we rescued in July of this year from the shelter. He is a gem, and truly a special dog, but we would like to rescue additional dogs and he is ready for a forever home.
- Affectionate and loyal, Velcro dog
- Great with kids. Very gentle. He is 85 lbs so might not be ideal for the littlest kids just due to his size, but he does not jump.
- Good with other dogs and cats, with proper introduction. Would definitely benefit from continued socialization with friendly dogs.
- Great at dog parks/beach
- Not demanding - very quiet and mellow at home but loves to go for walks and run around at the park. Perfect work-from-home companion.
- Doesn't bark much, but does have an intimidating warning bark when people come up to the house. You will feel safe, but he is super sweet to strangers once they come in.
- No separation issues
- Not possessive of toys or food
- Loves riding in the car
- Starting to play with toys - doesn't know what to do with balls yet
- Good on leash. Food-motivated and will sit for treats and attention and when you stop at street corners, etc. Easy to train.
- House-trained; does not sleep in our bed
- Rehoming fee of $200, negotiable for the right fit
- Clean bill of health from the vet and DNA test
- Neutered (July 2022) and UTD on shots
- Has a sister who was also rescued from the shelter and found a home with a couple in Escondido - she is in the last picture on the right.
