Hello fellow musicians, I'm an experienced and skilled guitarist looking for a few kindred souls to start a different kind of jam band. With all respect to The Dead, Phish and other bands in their lineage, that sound has just never been my cup of tea, so I'm on a quest for a project that carries the spirit of open, extended improv but with a different energy. My influences are diverse - rock, blues, jazz, ambient electronica, r&b/soul, metal etc. - and my main focus as a player is improvisation. My ideal project is one that seamlessly blends genres with a soulful, groove-oriented vibe, mostly instrumental, but open to vocals as well. I don't care about age, gender, appearance or anything like that (but to be fair, if you're a die-hard Trumpie we're probably not gonna get along). What I care about is finding people who are passionate about the music they play, open-minded, kind and easy to work with, and most of all, monsters on their instruments. You should be comfortable improvising, and willing to rehearse regularly and possibly gig if we can get this going. I'm looking for a drummer and bassist who can lay down a pocket so deep you could live in it. Other than that, I'm pretty open - keys, organ, violin, woodwind, a 2nd guitarist etc...
