For over 50 years, the Mexican origin community in the U.S. has enjoyed dance performance known as folklórico. During the Chicanx Movement, folklórico dance groups were formed across the country on university campuses and cultural centers. With dedicated teachers, many young people engaged in this cultural affirming and demanding enterprise.
