Description
During this half-day retreat, we’ll open to the intimacy of being in the present moment which arises in silence, solitude, and sacred pauses. You’re welcome to join us in grounding, healing, and connecting with the deepest parts of ourselves to awaken our senses. We’ll use nature and the elemental surroundings as a mirror to recenter us in stillness. There will be mindfulness movements, sound therapy, ecotherapy (walking/exploration of land), a delicious dinner, and insight reflections. It’s a harmonious weaving of indoor, internal practices and nature, land-based contemplative practices supporting us through the day. These cathartic retreats offer a doorway to awakening our senses, and intuition, restoring to our natural state of being, reconnecting with our inner source, and opening a wild stream of creative insight to nourish our human psyche. No previous experience is necessary Provided I’ll have disposible eye masks for sound experience, cushions for sitting (chairs available too), tea, hot water, nuts, fruit, and fresh-baked Artisian bread. Items to bring Yoga mat, blanket, hat, sunscreen, walking shoes, pen, journal. About Meditation Teacher Taylor Tessendore is a founder, therapist, retreat guide and soul activist who has studied mindfulness meditation practices for almost two decades after being introduced to eastern spirituality at the age of fourteen. She explored her internal world during a year-long retreat disconnecting from the marketplace to deepen her practice by spending months in noble silence. Taylor has trained with western teachers in several traditions, including Zen and Theravada. She holds a mindfulness certification from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master's of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy. Bridging Eastern and Western practices, she integrates transpersonal psychology, Buddhist psychology, neuroscience, yoga, meditation, and deep ecology into her collaborative approach. She specializes in Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STEs), helping people transition post-retreat to integrate their experiences into daily life, and those seeking solace around loss. Taylor is seasoned in cultivating and designing sacred spaces to turn inward through ritual opening our connection, nourishing our bodies, and releasing a river of creative energy.
