SUMMARY OF THE POSITION Under the supervision of the Property Manager/Lead Maintenance, the grounds person performs a wide variety of complex maintenance duties and general up keeping of common grounds RESPONSIBILITIES: Keep all common grounds areas clear of debris/garbage including the removal of trash from ground shrubbery and hedges. Clean grounds according to daily schedule. Advise supervisor of equipment and supplies needed and safety hazards. Power wash parking lots, entryways and common areas Gather and empty trash, including moving dumpsters for city trash pick-up. Must be able to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs. Requires physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, reaching overhead, walking on uneven ground, sitting and standing. Must be able to quickly move your hands and grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Must be able to exert yourself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED certificate. A minimum of at least 1 year grounds duties at a multi-family property desired. Ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary measures to protect self and others. Fluency in English required. Ability to read and understand instructions.
