Description

Hi OK so I've been a singer off and on for about 20 years. Great frontman with the gift of gab lol and historically speaking I've done metal in the vein of Disturbed and some other stuff I'm no longer into like metalcore and death metal. As I've gotten older and wiser I've been reintroduced to my original influences and now I just want to play some rock n roll, man. No screaming/growling. I'm in my 40s btw and I love the 80s. I like catchy stuff with lots of room to breathe. So I'm into hard rock/early heavy metal before it got crazy with subcategories. I hesitate to list influences since I don't want to pigeonhole myself. I'm a decent guy with a big heart who has rock n roll in my veins. The Monkees were the first influence on me. Verse-verse-prechorus-HOOK is a great framework. I'm good at writing lyrics and I'm a published poet. I have a midrange/tenor range and I've taken vocal coaching in the past, so I know a few things =) 420 friendly and not above a couple beers but I don't drink while singing because that would interfere with my voice. In fact I'm usually stone sober onstage. I have a fair amount of studio experience as well. So I'm looking for something catchy/hooky, middle-of-the-road type radio friendly rock. I'm looking for a live jam situation and see how that goes.
