The Nines is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to boosting confidence during the most formative years in girls’ lives by delivering customized gift boxes of donated clothing to girls in need. The Nines aims to give second-hand clothing the ultimate second chance by placing it into beautifully wrapped, styled boxes for girls in need. Before receiving a box from The Nines, girls are asked to fill out a Style Questionnaire, which ensures every item will fit, suit their taste, and meet their specific needs. To date, The Nines has brought the magic of the perfect outfit to just about every occasion from the first day of school to a family holiday gathering. We are currently seeking a rockstar Project Manager for a 6-week contract (starting in late July - early September) to help us execute our upcoming back-to-school boxing cycle, happening in late August/early September 2022. He/she/they will need to have expert project management skills to help us drive and track the multiple components involved in executing a boxing cycle, our charity’s primary activation, which will allow us to deliver 250 boxes to young girls in need this Fall. What you’ll be doing: - Serve as liaison between The Nines and participating Bay Area charity partners to coordinate all elements of boxing cycle participation - Manage and track database of 250+ girls who will be receiving boxes during cycle - Input & file 250 style questionnaires into The Nines database - Manage our boxing cycle volunteer schedule, including blasting out volunteer sign-ups, communicating with potential and confirmed volunteers, leading onsite volunteer training, and ensuring full coverage on all volunteer shifts for two-week cycle period - Manage graphic designer on all digital assets. - Coordinate load-in and load-out of clothing inventory in The Nines boxing pop-up space - Support the design/layout of the Nines pop-up space to allow for seamless execution of cycle activities - Coordinate box distribution with participating charities at the completion of our boxing cycle - Managing charity feedback and communication post-cycle - Physically oversee two-week boxing cycle, being onsite at Nines pop-up warehouse for daily boxing shifts - Leading volunteer shifts including explaining roles, answering questions, and so forth - Partner with The Nines Founder & Board members on all boxing-cycle related duties as they arise You’ll be very successful in this role if you are: - Extremely organized and detail-oriented; no project detail is too small - An effective executor who takes direction well and is able to track timelines and multiple programs at the same time. - A self-starter who sees opportunities to jump in and make immediate impact - Solve unforeseen situations as they arise in a calm, positive manner. Even under pressure, you make things look simple. - Extremely professional in interactions with volunteers, nonprofit charity partners, and The Nines Founder & Board members - Passionate about non-profit work & The Nines mission Requirements - Available in-person in SF for the duration of the contract - Undergraduate degree completed - Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Mac and Google suite (mail, docs, sheets, slides, surveys, etc). - Strong project management skills: uses project management tools proficiently with a keen attention to detail and deadlines. - Light event planning experience: comfortable assisting with scaled “event’ production, going from planning phase to execution.
