Every publicly traded corporation is under pressure to show more revenue, the end of each quarter is a madhouse to get orders booked, shipped and paid for so when all of them are under this pressure it's just the normal course of business to show investors greater profits. We had the oil producers under the previous president expanding their production and prices grew at a moderate pace. Now with production under attack by Biden as demand grows prices have risen significantly. You may not want to hear it and I'm sure you'll deny it but when production of needed commodities are artificially inhibited their prices surge higher, this is basic economics 101. Why are we so affected by the energy sector, (between legal immigration 1 Million a year and illegal more than 2 million a year) these people also consume energy like the rest of us and as a nation our demand for it grows exponentially. Biden unfortunately decided he would cancel the EX Pipeline that would bring in 900K barrels a day, end the leases in ANWR one of our most productive oil fields and block other known oil field producing areas from being leased and permitted. As I've stated before Biden told us he would shutdown our oil industry and he's keeping us from getting that needed domestic oil. Now we know the price the cost of energy has nearly doubled since he took office and seeing how much we are suffering he has done little to mitigate what he's done. Yes we import oil but under our previous president we produced domestically far more than imported making the US a net oil exporter so your point which you think is meaningful isn't much of a point at all. Joe releasing strategic oil reserves is all show with little substance and in fact puts us in peril by doing it should a national emergency arise, by October our oil reserves will be at 1/3 of what they were when Joe was inaugurated, 1/3 of its capacity. Production from the EX Pipeline dwarfs what the strategic reserve is and one days flow from it is equal to the entire reserve's capacity. Joe unfortunately fell victim to the renewable energy people who were and are shortsighted and now all of us are paying for their ideals. Yes I did research wish you would as well because what you claim are half-truths and exaggerations. Newsom is a loathsome person, as SF Mayor he had an affair with his best friend's wife and ruined their marriage, he claimed his alcoholism was the culprit. As governor while forcing everyone to shutter inside their homes he enjoyed himself at the exclusive French Laundry restaurant knocking down glasses of expensive wine paid for by big campaign donors and lobbyist. He was caught on camera at the Supper Bowl and other events maskless while mandating Californians to wear them and ordered public schools closed while he took his own children to private school. When this all came out Californians were so enraged they tried to recall him. What do I think about him on TruthSocial, a desperate act of a despicable man to get attention. Yes he can release strategic oil reserves with the hope it drives down the price of a barrel of oil but it's still up to the oil companies to set prices. Oh yea, we imported over 7 billion barrels of oil under the Dump administration. Soooo, nooooo we weren't energy independent under Dump. And Joe never said he'd shut down the oil industry. He's emphasized that this is an example why we need alternative sources of energy. By relying on oil we are beholden to the whims of oil execs. But hey how'd you like Gavin's Truth Social posts?
