Description

SANTA MONICA, CA — To further celebrate and uplift voices within the queer community in Santa Monica, several city agencies have collaborated to put on the PRIDE Marketplace, which will run every weekend in June. The marketplace is part of the SaMo Pride month and will showcase more than 15 LGBTQIA+ business owners. All vendors will offer local products or services from macrame to wellness products. Among the vendors is Pippi + Lola, a queer, woman and Lantix-owned shop offering houseplants and lifestyle goods; Purithea, a queer and woman-owned business featuring modern nut butters and health foods; Slayfire Cosmetics, a woman, Indigenous and queer-owned makeup line and Soulfood Candle Co., a queer, Black and Latino-owned candle company. Participating business owners are provided with a free space and will keep 100 percent of the sales. The popup marketplace will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Learn more about the participating businesses here.
