In 1990 at age 12, author Amir Khan wrote a short story for a school assignment called "Speedboat Race." A story of a speedboat racer trying to compete in the final race of the season and trying to overcome last-minute adversity. The manuscript was stored safely and given to him on his 40th birthday by his parents.
The author shares this experience with his two daughters Zoya 12 and Zysha Khan 9, whom he brought in as illustrators. With their involvement "Speedboat Race" is distinguishably a story created by kids for kids.
The author will be reading his book and his daughters will help lead a craft. All dad's receive a gift !
