Description: The purpose of this consortium is to engage, empower and educate members in Pinellas, Polk and Hillsborough to further enhance advocacy and support within our locals. Each session has been designed to build collaborative teams of Education Staff Professionals and Instructional Staff across the three locals. We will provide training to build capacity, culture, and growth both personally and professionally. *Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all registered participants. **Giveaways will occur throughout the event!! (Provided by Creative Benefits) Session 1: Personal Growth Matters: In this session, we will explore your unlimited potential to work with those around you effectively and build your confidence, self- esteem and self-awareness to achieve life goals. Session 2: Political Growth Matters: In this session, we will explore ways to gain a solid understanding of the current political climate in Florida. This will include new legislation, school board races, local and national elections and how this impact public education. Session 3: Membership Growth Matters: In this session, we will explore the importance of union membership and further examine ways to increase and engage local membership through community building. What does engaged membership look like? How do we advocate on behalf of each other?
