⚡⚡ELECTRICIANS⚡⚡ - Upgrading to Dual Meter for new detached ADU
Jobs

Description
We've got a rear detached ADU in progress right now (see photos) and we're approved to upgrade our current single panel (see photo) to a dual panel arrangement. The service will move to 200 amps and we're going to send 125 amps to each unit to power both a new subpanel in the detached ADU (see photos for location) and the current subpanel in the main home (see photo). We'll need to upgrade the existing weatherhead and we'll need to slightly move the position of the panels (see photo). This project is considered complete when we pass inspections, we can close up the underground trench that holds the existing schedule 40 conduit (see photos), and we have a subpanel attached with a single breaker for construction inside the ADU (see photo of framing location for this). It is not in scope for this project to do the actual wiring of the detached ADU beyond a single breaker, but you can expect that I'd want to continue the work into the home ASAP! :) NOTE: It has become expensive and hard to find good dual socket meter/main combo panels, but I'm open to using a raceway and two single panels to get this job done. I've thrown in an example of what that looks like as well (see photos). Won't look nearly as clean and collected as a dual socket, but it might be easier to find and cheaper to build. If you think I'm wrong, TELL ME!, I'm just a guy looking for an expert to set him straight. Here's what you need to do capture this work! Please email me with the following information: - Clear proposal on materials required and where you want me to buy these pieces (I'll handle materials) - Clear proposal on steps you want to perform to get this work done (e.g., upgrade weatherhead, upgrade wall conduit, add bend to move meters, install raceway, install single panels, pull new #N aluminum stranded wire to new panel from ADU, prepare for day-of inspection and disconnect-reconnect with PGE, etc.) - Your proposed rate for this project - Whatever questions you have about the project - Your background in electrical work, a license is helpful, but knowledge is much more important as I am an owner-builder Thanks! Looking forward to getting this going ASAP!
