Senior Center Seeks Greeting Cards For Father's Day

SANTA CRUZ, CA — Father's Day is coming up on June 19 and I-You Venture in Santa Cruz is asking the community to help make someone's day at the senior center. "People like to know they are remembered," the center said. "A card helps to brighten their day!" Volunteers are needed to write Father's Day cards and Thinking of You cards. Cards can be homemade or bought; it's really the thought that counts. "Residents have been especially lonely and isolated this past year," the center said. "And this is a way to help put a smile on their face!" Cards and items can be dropped off at: FSA/I-You Venture, 104 Walnut Avenue, #208, Santa Cruz Santa Cruz Volunteer Center, Attn: FSA, 1740 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz *Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 am to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
