TEMECULA, CA — A man and woman who were out of jail on bail following a drugs and guns investigation in Murrieta were behind bars again Monday after getting caught in Temecula with more narcotics and weapons, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.
Temecula residents Richard Dennis Murphy, 36, and Lisa Marie Wehus, 34, were picked up by deputies Thursday afternoon in the 28000 block of Jefferson Avenue after being found with "large amount of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, digital scales, and a replica handgun indicative of the sales of narcotics," the sheriff's department reported.
Jail records show the two were also found with a dirk/dagger.
Both are now being held in county jail in lieu of $70,000 bail each and were due to appear in court Monday.
Last month Wehus and Murphy were arrested in Murrieta in connection with a weapons and narcotics investigation, but the two were released from custody in lieu of $10,000 bail each. Read more about those arrests and the investigation here: Murrieta Pair Snared In Weapons, Drugs Investigation: Police
