*** SWEET BLACK LAB MIX READY FOR A NEW HOME! ***

We have an approximately 1 year old black lab mix we found wandering the street. He was nicked by a car and my husband quickly brought him to the vet. (He's ok!) We had him scanned and he is not chipped. After searching high and low for his previous owners, no one stepped forward to claim him. We have contacted a ton of rescues and shelters who won't take him in currently because they're so full. Our current situation is that we have 5 fur babies of our own and we can no longer care for him in our best capacity. He's also had signs of neglect so we've decided to move forward with rehoming him with a family who can provide him with the love and care he so deserves. He is the sweetest boy who is incredibly affectionate and attached. He's overall a very mellow dog who is happy to laze around your home at your side. My husband has been taking him with him to work at various construction job sites and he's satisfied just sleeping all day while he works. He's not much of a barker and is a relatively quiet dog. He is obviously very young and still has his puppy energy so he has spurts of energy when he's excited, but he quickly mellows out. He loves to play with balls and has a healthy appetite. We've helped him put on some weight as he was very skinny when we first found him. He is not fixed and still needs to be. We don't know his vaccination history as he came to us from the street. He was also never trained so he does not know any commands. He would do best in a home where the owner is willing to spend time helping him learn new tricks and providing him with plenty of love and attention. He does need basic obedience training. Due to his unknown background, I don't know how he is with smaller dogs and cats. He did not get along with our male pit bull as they became dominant with each other and had to be separated. This will likely will be solved with neutering and proper socialization. Please consider adopting this boy and giving him a second chance at a life he deserves. He is going to be such a wonderful addition to the family. He is incredible with kids and is a big old ham. There is a small adoption fee to ensure his safety. We want nothing more than the best for this wonderful dog.
