SAN CLEMENTE, CA — A San Clemente woman pleaded guilty after admitting her role in the breach of the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection, the Orange County Register reported. Lois Lynn McNicoll pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of parading, demonstrating or picketing in the Capitol in a Washington, D.C. courtroom Monday, reports said. She faces up to six months behind bars and five years of probation, according to the written plea deal. Three other criminal counts McNicoll was facing were dismissed, according to the Orange County Register. The San Clemente resident admitted to entering a prohibited building during the Jan. 6, 2020 insurrection. More than 800 people nationwide have been arrested in connection to the insurrection, including two-dozen-plus defendants with ties to Southern California.
