PETALUMA, CA — Some 450 classic cars were on display along downtown Petaluma streets Saturday for the annual "Salute to American Graffiti" car show and cruise.
Event director Brian Azevedo shared that registration for the popular event sold out in 11 days with a max of 450 participants.
The classic 1972 George Lucas-directed movie was filmed in part in Petaluma because of obstacles faced with the original location of San Rafael.
One of the stars of the "American Graffiti" movie, Oscar-nominated actress Candy Clark, was in a booth, signing autographs as she has done in previous years.
