About PCN
The Pilipinx Cultural Night (PCN) is a program that has been a tradition for many Pilipinx American organizations throughout the United States. For SJSU, this is our 34th anniversary. For two nights, PCN showcases our members through the expressive arts, including and not limited to cultural, contemporary, & modern dances; choir & band; tech & props; and acting & scriptwriting. In addition, we expose our members to opportunities in marketing, public relations, graphic design, and financial planning.

PCN 34: Mano Po
PCN 34, Mano Po, follows the self acceptance journey of a Pilipinx-American, Celeste Malabanan who grew up under the Catholic church’s ideals within her family. As she tries to navigate her life in the states without her parents. Celeste is faced with many questions as to who she actually is without the constant influence of her parents and what is the truth to having your own identity . As she dives deeper into the history of her ancestors and with the wisdom of those around her, Celeste will not only pay her respects forward to her elders but will find her own self respect within to share her own truths.
